How's your weekend? Today was the last day of Awakening: Creative Writing Class. I was encouraged with the testimonies shared this morning on how God spoke to them in different ways.

God showed me a picture of a  BAMBOO during praise and worship. I searched to know more about it and below are the top 3 that strikes me the most.

1.  It is the fastest-growing plant in the world and the largest member of the grass family.

2.  Bamboo's long life makes it a Chinese symbol of longevity, while in India it is a symbol of friendship.

3.  It features uprightness, tenacity and hollow heart. People endow bamboo with integrity, elegance and plainness, though it is not physically strong.

These characteristics made me realized that this is how God sees me and how I should become.  A woman who may not be physically strong but is endowed with integrity, elegance and simplicity.  No matter what's going on around me, I remain standing still.

Having a journal where you put your thoughts might sound old school but I still find it cool. Haha. I already have my chasing colours blogsite where I'm working on project 365 but I think I still need a journal where I can put the deepest desires of my heart, between me and God and no social media audience.

....our words serve a purpose and there is always a greater message to bring to people.

Again I am grateful that I was able to make it to our class. Glad to be hearing Alarice's message and hear some of her songs.

Creativity is my birthright - this is what strike me the most. I used to believe that I am not a creative person because back in my schooling years, I was more into academics and never participated in any art/drawing/painting/decors activity in the class. The lesson made me realize that God has put a seed of creativity in me and it was also part of my design.

I would like to share the short poem I have written in the class during our exercise. We were tasked to choose a painting and make a poem or anything about it. I entitled it "In His Hands"

Your hand gives, when I am in need
Your hand comforts, reminds me not to grieve
Your hand restores and I am renew
Jesus Your hand, only Your hands can make me new.

Your hand holds me, never letting me go
Even when I ran away, you won't let me go
Your faithfulness surrounds me and chase me like a shadow
And now I stand in Your presence in great awe!

In Your hands, I am safe
Yes Jesus, I won't be afraid
For Your hand holds everything together
And I am yours until forever.

Tuesday is the busiest day in the office and at the same time its my creative writing technical skills training. I have to admit that I struggled and pushed myself to attend my first class. Grateful that I was able to make it and praying that I can finish the elective in spite of the demands from my work.

Here are some photos I took before the class - fried dumpling noodle at dinner and Mashed Potato at Seven Eleven for my post dinner. Hahaha.

Some notes I wrote during "Soaking" Moment. These are my real handwriting, haha and I am the only one who can understand it. Parang doktor lang.

The class gets even more exciting. We had our 2nd foundation training session in a different venue where we were seated in mats/floors with matching candle aroma and the lights were off. It was not the usual "classroom type" setting.

We had our "soaking" moment. A moment between me and God, in His presence. Tears started to fall from my eyes when I realized how God loved me just the way I am. Be real with God and be real with other people.

The class requires me to stay late at night, though. But it was all worth it. I think if you really like something, you become unstoppable, "harangan ka man ng sibat".

How's your Sunday? I had a full-packed Sunday. It started in the morning where it was our team's turn to serve on Kids Church so I left home early. I didnt know that there was a worship training for teachers,  but I am grateful that I was able to catch up and be refreshed again.

We had our Life Group meeting at Grace's place. I find life group settings at home more fun and exciting, there's some kind of a personal touch for me. The food and fellowship was great! But nothing is more awesome than being reminded of how great the love of God is - His unfailing, everlasting and perfect love that I can freely receive. I dont need to perform to earn that love. Imagine, a love that is readily available for me. Amazing!

We headed to TAB - EN Central church afternoon service which was actually not part of the plan. Haha. I was once again "pulled" by friends. The praise and worship was awesome! I got interested with this workshop on creative writing/photography/dance/painting. I want to sign up on the creative writing session. Praying for God's provision and favor from work.

Kree8 - Creative Writing: Will I sign up? hmmmm.
