Day 229: "At inagawan mo pa si Lola..."

"At inagawan mo pa si Lola sa suot mong yan." hahaha. These are the exact words that my Pinay colleague told me after seeing the cream-colored knitted shawl that I wear today. I bought this long time and wore it only once. This is my way of putting some style/art to simple tops or if I'm wearing jeans.

Day 227: Monday and Tuesday Defined at Work.

This is how a normal Monday and Tuesday looks like in the office.

Mondays - refers to the first day of work where "Monday Blues" does not apply. It requires speed, energy and efficiency to its maximum level in order to finish a 200-line item report. Having lunch on your workstation is not a must but highly encouraged.

Tuesdays - refers to the second day of work where speed, energy and efficiency must be doubled in order to finish a 600-line item report. Lunch at workstation is highly encouraged. Brushing of teeth is expected to move late in the afternoon. Beware of impatience.

Day 220: 600-Line Item Report.

Part of my job is to finish a 600-line item report every Tuesday. It has to be done with speed and accuracy. I am grateful that I was able to finish it today. Boss will be checking and am praying for less mistakes better no mistakes at all. Praying for favor to surround me as with a shield.

Day 206: Free ride from a collegue.

Stayed late in the office, got tons of reports that I need to finish. On the other hand, I am grateful for my colleague who gave me a free ride to Bishan MRT. Convenient and comfy.

Day 202: Friday Farewell.

My Boss' last day. I owe a lot from her - she's the one who interviewed and hired me! We gave her a farewell lunch, I wasnt able to take photos of our foods, (bigla akong nahiya, hehehe) but it was a nice and heavy lunch - fish, chicken, rice, veggie, sotong, dessert. Sarappp!

Grateful for her because she was the one whom God used for me to be a part of the company. Yes, she's a bit strict, seldom smile, but I cant forget that sweet smile of hers while giving KitKat chocolate. All the best!

Day 200: Faucet Fixed!

Faucet in the office used to be dripping . Water keeps on flowing and I dont know how to stop it. Sometimes you have to wait for another colleague to wash his/her cup para di ikaw ang mapagabutan. Grateful that its fixed already.

Day 193: Great motivation.

Words are indeed great motivators. Here's my skype conversation with our lady boss. Awwwww! I was encouraged with this simple yet powerful words from her. The following weeks will be tougher, grateful that she believes on what I can do in handling MY and SG accounts.

Day 191: Orientation and Induction.

This morning was the orientation for all new employees. I am grateful to be working for a company who gives excellent and warm welcome to new staffs. Manuals were given and department heads discussed about their roles and responsibilities. I realized that God gave me a wonderful job. Its indeed worth waiting on Him. On the other hand, this great gift requires great responsibility on my part. Praying for excellence and more love for my job. I used to see my work as a burden and a boring task. I should learn to receive this gift with a grateful heart and that I need to be a good steward of it.

As if this was not enough, we had a very good lunch together for FREE!

Day 188: Fashion Friday!

Yey! Its Friday! Usually its time to dress down and wear your jeans. But I want it to be different. Lol. Snapshots of what I wore today. Black printed skirt + a light purple blouse + blue xxxx (dont know how to call it) hahah. I was hesitant to wear this because I thought its too colorful but I wanted to try something new.

This caused me to be late at work. Hahaha.

Day 187: "Construction Worker Lunch Box"

Again, I am super, mega grateful for my Mom who prepares my food every morning. Grateful to have Pinoy colleagues. Iba pa rin pag kasama mo ang kalahi mo. Masaya. Hahaha. Eto nga - they made fun of my "construction worker lunch box" that's why I decided to buy a smaller one.

Day 186: Shed for the rain.

Grateful for sheds/roofs provided on my way to work. Yay! It was raining this morning and because of these sheds I dont need to open my umbrella. Yey!

Day 178: Office Sweets.

Colleagues who came back from holiday gave these pasalubong. Yummy!

Day 170: Monday Mania.

Snap a photo of how Singapore looks like on a Monday morning in Bishan/Circle Lane. Everyone is rushing except me.. Haha. I still got the time to do this.

Singapore's passion and drive for work is indeed "over the top". Singaporeans are the most hardworking people I've ever met. Kayo na!

Day 167: Thank God Its Friday!

Everybody loves Friday! Grateful for my first week at work, for my new colleagues, new Pinoy friends, and new environment. Yey!

Day 163: Bibo Monday!

My first day at work. Yay! I was at my best - heels, long sleeve and skirt. Came early in the office and had breakfast at the pantry. Did a lot of reading today. Sakit sa ulo! Had blisters due to high heels but grateful on my first day. By the way, I also had Filipino colleagues. Yey!

Day 159: Finally.....I got it!

Yes! After several months of waiting and praying I got the job! Finally, signed the contract and will start work on Monday. Grateful, He is faithful. No words can express how much I am grateful to God answering my prayer. Yey!

Day 143: A quick tour.

Let me show you where I headed today. This is the industrial part of Singapore, seems isolated bcoz this is where big trucks and factories are located. Not my first time here but hopefully not the last. Haha.
