Fashion Feed : New blog series

Hello everyone!

I was arranging my clothes and it gave me an idea to start a fashion series on my blog which I will call "Fashion Feed" temporarily. This will feature my thoughts on fashion and ideas from around the world. I am really not a fashionista (maybe a bit) but I hope my posts will inspire and motivate women to be beautiful in their own unique way.

What do you think about the title "Fashion Feed"? Any other suggestions? I would love to hear your thoughts.

The Art of Ukay-ukay

Ukay-ukay are stores that sells second-hand branded items at low prices. They have shoes, bags, pants, shirts, belts and other accessories.

Some of my stuffs were bought from ukay. Yeah! I find it unique and fun (that is if you got them at the price you want).

Will you shop at ukay-ukay stores? I would love to hear your "bargaining experience."

Inside the polls: Straight or Curly hair.

Do you prefer straight or curly hair?

Couple of days ago, I went to a salon to have my hair re-permed/curled.   I used to have straight hair but  decided to stick to curly hair to suit my big face. My friends told me that permed looks nicer on me. Also, I find it more stylish than straight hair. On the other hand, curly hair requires some effort like twirling and applying styling lotion after bathing, and treatment at least once a month.

Will you change your hairstyle? I would love to hear your thoughts :)

Congratulations to Miss USA Olivia Culpo for taking home the crown of Miss Universe 2012 held in Las Vegas, Nevada last December 19, 2012.

First runner up - Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon 

Second runner up - Miss Venezuela

Third runner up - Miss Australia 

Fourth runner up - Miss Brazil

The Philippines is almost there, hope that next year the crown will be ours. Yay!

Day 291: "Let's try this on!"

My sister and I has this "weird" habit of fitting clothes. Haha. Everytime we buy a new piece of clothing, we will mix and match it with bags, shoes and accessories. One of the good things about having a sister is you can share clothes and all other stuffs. Yey!

This bag which she bought is OFFICIALLY MINE! Haha. The bag is soooo me! Its a three-colored bag - pink, yellow and purple with an animal print scarf on its handle.  But I still have to pay for this. (it was not FREE, though). I can't wait to use it and the red scarf which was a gift of her colleague from China. Yay!

Day 274: Fringe or Not.

I wanted to have a fringe for a change but after having my hair cut, I was not comfortable because it felt like something is blocking my eyes. Now, I have to put a clip to get rid of it.

Day 246: Blue Sunday.

Yay! Its Sunday! I attended the Kids Church Training and headed to the 2nd service right after. We had no Life Group meeting so I planned of going home but saw Sugar along the way so we ended up having lunch together. We had some bonding over these accessories on SALE! Here's my Kryptonite again. I can't stop myself from buying these blue necklace and bracelet that perfectly match together.

Nothing is more encouraging than catching up with friends and sharing your walk with God. Grateful for friends and meaningful conversations like this.

Day 241: Let's go Polka Dots!

I am starting to like big blouses because it makes me appear bigger and hides my skinny body. I am excited to wear this polka dots blouse which again I was able to get a discount. Ako na ang reyna ng tawaran. Haha. This can be paired with either jeans or shorts. Yey!

Day 239: White Sunday.

I spotted these white long sleeve top and pants which I've been looking for the past weeks. I like this white top that can be matched to skirt, jeans or shorts. I got a $1 discount because of the little stains which hopefully be removed after washing. I also bought white pants which I will use in the office as an alternative to my black pants. Yey! It feels good when you are able to buy such kind of stuffs.

Day 229: "At inagawan mo pa si Lola..."

"At inagawan mo pa si Lola sa suot mong yan." hahaha. These are the exact words that my Pinay colleague told me after seeing the cream-colored knitted shawl that I wear today. I bought this long time and wore it only once. This is my way of putting some style/art to simple tops or if I'm wearing jeans.

Day 228: Stripes on Scarf!

I'm a big fan of accessories - Earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets and scarfs. I love this stripe scarf that gives a bit of style to plain tops.

Today Im wearing a plain green top and black skirt. The scarf does not only add style, it also hides my skinny body. Haha.

Day 216: And I ended up with JC and friends on a Friday night...

I was supposed to see an ex-colleague but due to heavy rains and me leaving the office late, I ended up having dinner with JC and friends who were actually people I met at the Bintan outreach. I cant believe I was "one of the boys", squeezing out the "cowboy side" in me. Haha. Grateful how God can replaced something in a snap. Sometimes things unplanned are the best.

As if this was not enough, while waiting for "JC and friends", I spotted accessories on SALE at Topshop - my Kryptonite! Its a buy 1, get 1 for FREE! I bought a pair of colourful earrings. I just hope I can wear them because they're really HUGE. Got a fish necklace for FREE crafted in a piece of wood. What an odd design! Grateful for Friday! Yey!

Day 209: "I was into bonnets, pala..."

I was preparing my stuffs for tomorrow's outreach when these bonnets caught my attention. I was into bonnets, pala. During my younger days in SG, I go beyond my old-fashioned style and tried to put some creativity or "arte". Haha. I realized I haven't used these bonnets for quite some time. Maybe because Im getting older and my desire for these things started to slow down a bit. But I hope to use them once in while.

Day 203: Black is Beautiful.

Ok, I admit that I'm into colors and prints but let's give way to 'black color'. I saw this plain black top at a garage sale near our place. "And if this is meant for me, I'd still see it here even after going to the market to buy the more important stuffs first. Its there when I came back! And I got it for only X! Awwwww!

I also love this black seat and a storage box at the same time. Im using this seat while writing and doing something with my laptop. Its actually the owners' and I am grateful that its inside my room - meant for me.

Day 188: Fashion Friday!

Yey! Its Friday! Usually its time to dress down and wear your jeans. But I want it to be different. Lol. Snapshots of what I wore today. Black printed skirt + a light purple blouse + blue xxxx (dont know how to call it) hahah. I was hesitant to wear this because I thought its too colorful but I wanted to try something new.

This caused me to be late at work. Hahaha.

Day 128: Addicted to Earrings.

To add to my collection, another pair of dangling earrings! I don't know what's with earrings that I got so attracted with them. Made up of capiz shells with different colors! Soooooooo me!

Day 126: Smiley-Shopping Saturday!

Did a bit of shopping today . Bought these items in a very affordable prices. This "skull shoulder bag" can also be a  pouch bag. I love the long sling that makes it so classy!

 Earrings perfect for summer. I love the different color designs!

Lastly, colorful coin purse with my name on it. Engraving was FREE!

Day 121: Dazzling Dangling Earrings.

Felt like I was boring and very plain with my red polo shirt + jeans at church yesterday. Bought these pairs of dangling earrings to add a little touch of fashion. I prefer big & dangling earrings because it suits my big face. Glad that the church is at the mall so "in case of emergency", its only a few steps and my problem is solved. hahaha.
