A gentle reminder to myself to trust Jesus in the midst of what I am going through. Trust His faithfulness and goodness, He will never fail. If He did it before, He can do it again. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

I was taking photo of this art piece in Farrer Road MRT when an old man approached me and asked "Sorry, but what do you see there? I don't appreciate that" ME: I like colours! Anything that's colourful catches my attention.
I guess the old saying is true, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Two people can be loooking at exactly the same thing but perceived it differently.

This song from Brooke Fraser has brought great encouragement to me during the lowest point of my life. I keep on listening to this until the message sinks into my heart. Here's the link and my prayer is that you will also find strength and courage as you go through your desert season.
This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides
This is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flame.
And I will bring praise, I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice, I will declare
God is my victory and He is here
This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand
All of my life, in every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow.
Psalm 62:1 I WAIT quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him.
How's my attitude while waiting on God? Am I grumbling, complaining, murmuring and have a grumpy attitude? God is Faithful. In this season, God wants me to seek Him more in my life. Seeking Him and spending time in His presence is His way of capturing my heart so my eyes will be fixed on the GIVER and not on the GIFTS. Wait and seek Him.

I know that I am into prints and colours and all those eye catching stuffs but this time, I did try something new - how about a plain white case for my phone. It looks formal and classy but not bad at all.

My niece's artwork in school reminds me that I am His Princess and the words from the Bible are not just information but love letters from my King.
"Princess Treat" from my King. Free dinner from friends, prayer, encouragement, stories, chit-chat in a great place and colourful lanterns at the background. Yay!

My sister and I has this "weird" habit of fitting clothes. Haha. Everytime we buy a new piece of clothing, we will mix and match it with bags, shoes and accessories. One of the good things about having a sister is you can share clothes and all other stuffs. Yey!
This bag which she bought is OFFICIALLY MINE! Haha. The bag is soooo me! Its a three-colored bag - pink, yellow and purple with an animal print scarf on its handle. But I still have to pay for this. (it was not FREE, though). I can't wait to use it and the red scarf which was a gift of her colleague from China. Yay!

Snapshots with my super kulittttt niece who loves to take photos and make funny faces in the camera.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
(2 Timothy 1:7)
I have to remind myself over and over again that shyness is NOT from God. Whether I am an introvert or extrovert or whatever personality I have, God does not want me to be silent or timid.
Believe it or not, I still find myself struggling in this area. I need God's grace to work that boldness and confidence in me whether talking to church people or not.
Be BOLD!

After a heavenly love-filled experience, I had a very scary dream. It was so scary that I prayed when I woke up. I don't want to be detailed about it but it was a reminder for me to pray, be on my guard always and to pursue a vibrant relationship with Christ.

I think this is the best ring I've ever had which I only got for xxxx! Haha. Ako pa! It was so unique from the other rings and felt like God is sealing His love for me. Wearing this ring requires both my forefinger and middle finger and its a bit difficult to separate my 2 fingers because of LOVE. Galing! Its like what it says in Romans 8:38-39. Yay! (Sorry, if I'm petty or too much detailed or religious or call me whatever, but this ring spoke so much about God's love in the midst of what I am going through).
It was so timely that we watched a documentary film entitled the Furious Love of God during Life Group. Love is indeed the most poweful tool to touch the lives of other people. Unless I received and experienced the true, pure and selfless love of Christ, I can never share it to others. Awesome short film!13 October 2012
How's your weekend? Today was the last day of Awakening: Creative Writing Class. I was encouraged with the testimonies shared this morning on how God spoke to them in different ways.
God showed me a picture of a BAMBOO during praise and worship. I searched to know more about it and below are the top 3 that strikes me the most.
1. It is the fastest-growing plant in the world and the largest member of the grass family.
2. Bamboo's long life makes it a Chinese symbol of longevity, while in India it is a symbol of friendship.
3. It features uprightness, tenacity and hollow heart. People endow bamboo with integrity, elegance and plainness, though it is not physically strong.
These characteristics made me realized that this is how God sees me and how I should become. A woman who may not be physically strong but is endowed with integrity, elegance and simplicity. No matter what's going on around me, I remain standing still.

How do you respond when people say "You look younger" or "You don't look like your age?"
When people learned about my real age, they'd say that I look younger. For a time, it would flatter me but then I began to wonder if my actions or behaviors show such. Maybe they are right because I am the youngest in the family and the "childlike-attitude" continues to run in my blood. Or I guess I was really a late bloomer. Looking back, I had my first monthly period when I was in 2nd year high school, most girls had theirs on grade school. During college, while everyone was dating I was so passionate about campus ministry and reaching out to the youth. So when I came here in Singapore, I felt like I am the most odd, weird person in the world.
At the end of the day, I need to make a decision to strive to be better than yesterday, to mature and progress. After all, I am not getting younger anymore.

This morning's rebuke from God as I was lying on my bed, indecisive, lazy and feeling weak. Sometimes God would speak so literally to me that I don't need to think deep or ask for more signs and confirmation.
10 October 2012
Having a journal where you put your thoughts might sound old school but I still find it cool. Haha. I already have my chasing colours blogsite where I'm working on project 365 but I think I still need a journal where I can put the deepest desires of my heart, between me and God and no social media audience.
Did you know that October is National Pizza Month? Hmmm. I only knew until today when I saw at Facebook. So here's a slice of pizza double pepperoni. Enjoy!

What's your gift?
I completed a list of 135 statements to find out which gifts are strongest and which are weakest. Here's my top 3 gifts:
1. SERVICE (scored 11). This is the same as my LOVE language. I remember answering Gary Chapman's Love language quiz and I got ACTS OF SERVICE as my primary love language. I always wanted to do things for other people and serve them in different ways. I may not come from a rich family but I desire reaching out to old people, poor families and abandoned kids. Any activity or program that reaches to the less privileged excites me. I think serving others is a way to die to yourself and to get rid of any form of selfishness.
2. TEACHING (scored 10). Yes, I enjoy teaching! I wanted to speak to people and share my ideas and knowledge. Training a new colleague excites me as well as teaching and leading small groups. This explains why I took a part time job in a tutorial center and lead small groups back in the Philippines.
3. WISDOM (scored 9). I think this gift is related to gift#2 because I cannot have the gift of teaching without wisdom and knowledge. Someone prophesied that God has put wisdom and knowledge in me so I can help and lead people and this prophecy only confirms this gift.
I also got a score of 9 to Voluntary Poverty. This sounds funny because I actually came from an average family. I got 8 to Knowledge, Exhortation, Missionary, Faith, Leadership and Celibacy! (I actually don't want this gift, because I desire to get married, lol).
I am grateful that God has given me these gifts but I know it requires huge responsiblity in me.

I will be turning 30 next year and I would like to share 30 things I have learned in life's experiences. Some of these are quotes from authors and writers who inspires and motivates me a lot.
1. My personal relationship with God is the most important relationship I can ever have and which requires communication and faithfulness.
2. Never exchange time with family with your friends.
3. I cannot please all the people all the time.
4. People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. - John Maxwell
5. Smile. Its the cheapest cosmetic I can ever wear.
6. Its better to be with patient and kind people than to be with intelligent people.
7. Let LOVE be the reson of everything that you do.
8. Forget the past.
9. Forgive yourself.
10. Its OK to make mistakes and not be perfect.
11. Pray without ceasing.
12. Explore. Learn to dance, sing, play musical instrument, travel and explore the world.
13. True love waits.
14. Avoid office romance.
15. Trust God. He knows what's best for my life.
16. Take fruits, vegetables and lots of water in order to have beautiful skin.
17. Simplicity is beauty.
18. Guard your heart.
19. Seek Him first.
20. Slow down. Slow is fast.
21. Compete with yourself not with other people.

27. Less is more.
28. There is a big difference between dressing attractively and dressing to attract. - Joshua Harris
29. God is good all the time.
30. Save sex for marriage. Yay!
I called this day "Promo-Day because I got to spend weekends with young people - Heidi and Stef at their new place. I was officially their first visitor, was pampered and given "service de luxe" treatment.
05 October 2012
We must have the kind of love for ourselves that says, "I know God loves me, so I can love what God chooses to love." - Joyce Meyer.
I don't know what building is this but it captured my attention as I walked along Havelock Rd. What an odd-designed!
God has the habit of answering my prayers in ways that I dont expect and I cannot understand.
Stressful day and to de-stress, yes like most women do I eat!
02 October 2012
Its October! Start of a new quarter and as a thanksgiving for everyone's hard work on Q3, the management gave us this ice cream treat for tea break. Yummy!
I wanted to have a fringe for a change but after having my hair cut, I was not comfortable because it felt like something is blocking my eyes. Now, I have to put a clip to get rid of it.
